Technical Project Manager

Casper Association
December 2021 - present đź“Ť Zug, Switzerland
Casper Network is a Layer 1 blockchain. I joined Casper Association at the early stages, a few months after the mainnet launch. I participated in the creation of the foundation structures and processes. I managed multiple projects with a budget of up to approximately $1M involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Main Association website (casper.network)
Objective: Replace a simple landing page with a professional website focused on Association’s strategy. The main challenge was the communication between stakeholders. Key stakeholders I coordinated were four external agencies for strategy, SEO, design, and web development. I was responsible for the project from end to end.
Developer Portal (developer.casper.network)
Objective: Create a hub for developers to easily onboard them to the Casper blockchain and Casper Developer Ecosystem. The DevPortal has been integrated with already existing documentation. I was responsible for the project from end to end. Currently, I’m managing the site as product.
Documentation restructuring (docs.casper.network)
Objective: Implement the new architecture of the technical documentation. I was responsible for managing a team of developers, to restructure the documentation and create new materials. The main challenge was to build a project team from people who did not know each other and were based in different time zones.
Other responsibilities I had/have are:
Communication with wallet developers, managing grantees and overseeing treasury delegation program.

Blockchain Project Manager

CloudBest
April 2021 - November 2021 đź“ŤWarsaw, Poland
CloudBest was a blockchain and fintech shared service start up. I joined the company to drive blockchain related projects and manage products for the subsidiaries and external customers. Below are my key responsibilities:
NFT platform creation
Objective: Create an ERC-721 NFT platform that accepts payments in BTCV, starting from scratch. Initially, my responsibility was to create, and subsequently manage, a team of designers and developers to build the platform from scratch.
Electrum wallet maintenance (fork)
Objective: improve the user experience and adapt wallet to handle features from the forked blockchain. The task was relatively simple, and the complexity was small.

Other blockchain experience

Project Manager

mBank
October 2018 - March 2021 đź“Ť Warsaw, Poland
mBank is the 4th bank in Poland by assets. I started my project management career path here at the Risk Management Department. At mBank, I managed small independent projects of low complexity, medium-sized projects of high complexity, and project streams that were a part of large programs. All projects that I managed were regulatory, with budget up to approximately $1M. Below are my key projects:
Assets and Liabilities Management (ALM) Program
Objective: Purchase and implementation of a new system for ALM. I was a main support for the Program Manager. My main duties were to coordinate the POC phase with the vendor. I actively participated in the procurement process (RFI, RFP, negotiations). When the contract was signed I was responsible for the data feed stream of the program. I managed a team of SMEs and Data Analysts to prepare the data and the ETL for the new ALM system.
Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) module implementation
Objective: Replace a complex EUC tool with a standalone system. The main challenge was there was only one person capable of maintaining that internal tool, and it was a huge operational risk. I learned the procurement process very well and actively participated in negotiations with the vendor. I was responsible for the project from end to end. The budget for the project was just above $1M.
Advanced Internal Rating-Based Approach (AIRB) application to EBA
Objective: Get the approval from EBA so that subsidiary could release more reserves. The challenge was that the submission has already been rejected a few times and the team was demotivated and unsupportive of the project. I was responsible for the project end to end.

Team Manager

Citi
June 2016 - September 2018 đź“ŤWarsaw, Poland & London, UK
I joined citi as an AML & KYC Analyst and this was my first serious position. The team I joined was newly created and everyone was on the same level. After just 3 months, the circumstances made me step in as a Manager of the team, and 6 months later I won an official assessment for the Manager’s position. After I implemented many automations to improve my team’s efficiency, I have been relocated to London, UK to implement the same automations for the twin team residing there. My main duties were:
Team management (12 FTE)
I managed a team of 8-12 FTE. I took care of the workload allocation, issues management and automated many of the repeating tasks with macros and databases. The main challenge was the attrition in the team and my age (being significantly younger than my direct reports)
Reporting
I produced and automated AML reports for internal (quality, timeliness, and customer counts) and external (for regulators, i.a. FCA) purposes.
